Whether you're a seasoned bonsai enthusiast or new to the art, "The Art of Bonsai" event by BONSAI NFT CLUB promises to captivate your senses and elevate your appreciation for this centuries-old tradition.
Attendance Goal: 200 web3 natives + 200 Bonsai enthusiests
The History
The art of bonsai, which involves cultivating miniature trees in containers, has a rich and ancient history that spans over a thousand years. It originated in China before spreading to Japan where it became deeply intertwined with Japanese culture and aesthetics becoming a new art form.
How does it benefit the Moonbirds and Mythics holder community?
- Moonbirds/Mythics holders will be able to explore the cultural significance of bonsai and witness a live performance by a Bonsai Master/Artist, Masashi Hirao.
- All Bonsai trees will also be for sale giving Moonbirds/Mythics holders a chance to take home their very own work of living art.
- We will bring together Moonbirds/Mythics holders and Bonsai collectors/enthusiasts outside of the Web3 space to network and converse with each other.

*Live performance to create a bonsai work with Yrgtree motif.

What are the risks?
BONSAI is hard to take care and it dies if they don’t get water 2 days straight.
- Need watering time during the exhibition.
The floor might be messy with some soils and branches because of BONSAI performance.
- Laying a vinyl sheet to prevent from it.
BONSAI are quite heavy, and some tables might get damaged.
- Laying a sheet on each table.
What will the money actually be spent on? Do you expect any other money to come in related to this project, e.g. revenues?
The funds given by the Lunar Society will be used for holding the 2 day Bonsai event.
Expenses:
- Total: $10,000
- Venue: Free (Foundry)
- Food & Drink plus catering staff over both days: $9,000
- Bonsai Transportation: $1,000
*BONSAI NFT CLUB will pay out of its own treasury for the Live Performance by artist Masashi Hirao as well as the purchase and rental of Bonsai trees
Possible Revenues:
- Live auction could bring profit if Bonsai sells for more than purchase price(targeting a $10K value tree to showcase live performance on by Masashi Hirao)
- Other Bonsai exhibited at the event which will be rented by us will be for sale over the 2 day period. We could profit on any sales along with the Bonsai nursery.
- Any revenues received from sales will go back to the project treasury to be used to further the BONSAI NFT CLUB on showcasing Bonsai art around the world:
